Culpana: Designing an AI-Driven Internal Mobile Application for Kissflow

Culpana was an internal mobile application built for the Kissflow team, designed to simplify internal workflows through an AI-driven user experience. As a design engagement, our goal was to understand Kissflow's requirements, translate them into a clear product experience, and build a cohesive visual identity around the product.

Understanding the Product Requirements

We started by working closely with the Kissflow team to understand their requirements, users, workflows, and expectations from the internal product.

Rather than jumping directly into the user interface, we focused on understanding how Culpana would be used and what the experience needed to accomplish. This helped us establish a strong foundation for the UX design and product design process.

From a Simple AI Interface to a Complete Product Experience

The initial direction for Culpana was a simple AI-driven user interface. Our role was to take that starting point and develop it into a complete and consistent product experience.

The design process evolved across multiple layers:

  • AI-driven user interface design
  • Mobile app UX design
  • User interface design
  • Product experience design
  • Logo and brand identity design
  • Color palette development
  • Visual design system

This allowed us to move beyond designing individual screens and create a more complete mobile product identity for Culpana.

Creating the Culpana Brand Identity

A key part of the engagement was establishing Culpana's visual identity. We designed the Culpana logo, developed a distinctive color palette, and translated the identity into the mobile application's interface.

The objective was to make the brand and product experience feel connected rather than treating branding and UI design as separate exercises. The resulting design system provided Culpana with a consistent visual language across its product experience.

Designing the User Experience

For an internal application, usability was particularly important. The product needed to be simple, intuitive, and efficient for the Kissflow team.

We focused on creating a user-friendly mobile experience, simplifying interactions and structuring the interface around the needs identified during the requirements phase.

By combining UX research, UI design, interaction design, and visual identity, we were able to create an experience that was both functional and visually cohesive.

Our First Engagement with Kissflow

Culpana also marked an important milestone for us: it became our first design engagement with Kissflow.

What started as a requirement to design a relatively simple AI-driven internal application evolved into a broader product design engagement covering branding, UI/UX design, visual identity, and the overall mobile product experience.

The project demonstrated how a focused product requirement can evolve into a complete design system when the underlying user needs, product goals, and brand identity are considered together.

The Takeaway

Culpana was more than an internal mobile application design project. It was an opportunity to work closely with the Kissflow team, understand their requirements, and transform an early AI-driven interface into a cohesive product experience.

From logo design and color palette development to mobile UI/UX and product design, Culpana became the starting point for our relationship with Kissflow and our first engagement with their team.
